The goal of cosmetic nasal surgery, rhinoplasty, is to give your nose a natural, improved and unoperated appearance. Rhinoplasty is also performed to help alleviate nasal airway obstruction; this may be due to a deviated septum. This is usually performed as an outpatient procedure. Using modern techniques, packing after surgery is usually not necessary, and there is usually only mild swelling and discomfort.
