Botox®	Dysport®

Botox® and Dysport® can be used for cosmetic issues as well as other conditions:

Cosmetic Uses:

1. The “11” wrinkles, or folds between your eyebrows
2. The smile lines, wrinkles at the corners of your eyes that extend into your eyelids
3. Forehead wrinkles
4. Cheek wrinkles
5. Downward turn at the corners of your mouth
6. Neck bands

Other conditions:

1. Excess sweating
2. Headaches
3. Muscle spasms

Cosmetically, Botox® and Dysport® are used to treat lines and wrinkles which are created by muscle movement. These can make you look older, concerned, or unhappy.

Injecting Botox® or Dysport® allows these muscles to relax. Once they relax the lines and wrinkles decrease and in may completely disappear. This improvement usually lasts from three to six months.

The vast majority of patients are pleased with the results of these treatments.

Botox® and Dysport® can also be used for non-cosmetic uses. These include headaches and excess sweating.

When used for headaches the response can vary. Some patients report a dramatic improvement while others report no improvement.

Patients come to Dr. Carniol from across New Jersey for these treatments. His office is in the Medical Arts Center which is attached to Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey and can be easily reached from Interstates 78 and 24.
